Winners in annual daylily show named

The Topeka Daylily Club's annual American Hemerocallis Society accredited flower show was June 28. A total of 181 entries were judged in the horticulture division. American Hemerocallis Society Rosettes went to the following:

• Jerry Mix, best extra large flower

• Maggie Warren, best large flower

• Richard Knight, best small flower and best spider

• Gaye Tannebaum, best miniature flower

• LaRita Neeley, best double flower

• Ralph Gale, best unusual form flower

The Best in Show Award went to Ralph Gale for his unusual form flower, Jan's Twister. The Sweepstakes award went to Richard Knight.

Purple ribbons were awarded to Elaine Holmstrom, LaRita Neeley, Judy Briggs, Jerry Mix, Gene Stormann, Penny Stormann, Gaye Tannenbaum, Maggie Warren, Debra Cole, Ralph Gale, Richard Knight and Jess Danner.

The design division had 14 entries with blue ribbons going to Jess Danner, Eileen Garrison and Elaine Holmstrom. The top award for design, the Tricolor Award, went to Jess Danner.

The People's Choice Awards went to Jerry Mix for his seedling and Jess Danner for his design, "Secluded Bower."
